I was handed this project after the existing design for pressure relief was found to occasionally eject large metal pieces during unplanned rapid expansion events. Further the previous design did not reseal after an explosion, requiring downtime. The problem with this is that the machine virtually ALWAYS had some degree of poof every time it started up. A pressure relief valve that could reliably reseat was required.
